EPI started its operations in 1994 and steadily increased its capacity several-fold to the present capacity of over 25,000 MT per annum of various products in the aggregate. EPI, at present, is actively engaged in adding further capacities to meet the increasing market requirements.

EPI's principal products include Starch and Cellulose based Specialty Chemicals in the form of various grade of Sodium Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (SCMC), Poly Anonic Cellulose (PAC) and Drilling Starch besides other high-tech products, such as high temperature Starch for deep oil wells, as Organic Binder for Iron ore palletization and printing gum for textile industry.
